Come Boldly

Reverence, yes

Timidity, no

Because of Jesus,

we can come boldly

before the God of the Universe

Not because we are so good,

but because Jesus was,

when He laid down His life

for us

We approach the glorious throne,

our Abba Father,

with the confidence

of a child loved and forgiven

for everything

If we hesitate,

we have not yet grasped

what love did

for us

– Susie Stewart

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

– Hebrews 4:16 (NIV)

Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help.

– Hebrews 4:15,16 (MSG)

Because of Christ and our faith in Him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.

– Ephesians 3:12 (NLT)

Because of Your unfailing love, I can enter Your house; I will worship at Your Temple with deepest awe.

– Psalm 5:7 (NLT)

The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions.

– Proverbs 28:1 (NLT)

And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.

– Hebrews 10:19 (NLT)

  1. I love this Susie! I don’t think I have truly grasped God’s love for me. I think my heart is still plagued with shame. I’m working on it! Thank you for sharing this today! ??
